Our Approach

We have a step by step approach for new patients considering aesthetic plastic surgery.

Step 1: Initial contact

Once you have decided to undergo surgery, selecting your cosmetic surgeon is the most important decision you will make. You may contact our office through the web at info@beauty-surgeon.com (link) or call (713) 661 5255 to speak with Eva, our patient coordinator. She will be able to answer many of your questions about your surgery and she will be able to schedule your consultation.

Step 2: The first consultation

Many surgeons’ offices will have you meet with the patient coordinator to discuss your surgery before ever meeting with the doctor at another appointment. At Cosmetic Surgery Associates both Dr. Viera and Dr. McKane feel very strongly that you should meet with them during your initial consultation. This allows you to express your goals and concerns about surgery and have immediate feedback about what the best surgical procedure for you may be. During your first consultation, you will have an opportunity to see computer imaging of your proposed surgery so that you may see what the final result may be. You will also have the ability to review pre and post operative photographs of patients who have undergone a similar procedure to yours. You will also meet with Eva, our patient coordinator to discuss fees and financing options available to you.

Step 3: Preoperative appointment

Once you have decided to have surgery, you will be given a preoperative appointment. During this visit you will have a comprehensive examination to evaluate your general health for surgery. Appropriate laboratory studies and consults will be ordered depending on your health status. During this visit you will be given additional comprehensive educational materials about your surgery. Additional discussions about the nature, benefits, alternatives, and risks of the surgery will also occur to answer any final questions you may have.

Step 4: Surgery Day

Your surgery will either be performed at the Surgicenter for Advanced Surgery, a center fully accredited by the American Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), or at a local hospital. Your surgeon may recommend an overnight stay or arrange to have nursing care at home depending on your needs.

Step 5: Postoperative Care

You will have your first postoperative appointment the morning following surgery. Additional follow-up with your surgeon will be arranged this day.

Step 6: Medical Spa Services

Cosmetic Surgery Associates offers medical spa services through the Viera Visage Medical Spa and Skin Clinic. The spa can help prepare you for surgery and help you look your best following your procedure. The medical spa offers facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, permanent hair reduction, therapeutic massage, endermologie, Botox, Restylane, Sculptra, professional makeup, acne treatments, and visits with personal trainers.
